VOICE DISORDERS
Changes or difficulties with vocal quality, pitch or strength.
Our team are universally experienced working with voice conditions associated with Parkinson's Disease.
SWALLOWING
Assessment for those experiencing changes or difficulties with their eating and drinking. Assessment for dysphagia is always completed with your quality of life and safety as the pinnacle priorities. We work together to find sustainable recommendations.
APHASIA
Impairment of language, impacting one’s ability to express themselves or understand optimally, most commonly experienced following an acute neurological event or as a consequence of a degenerative neurological condition.
PRAGMATIC LANGUAGE DISORDER
The exploration of different perspectives on social situations and "rules". It is important to note, we support and implement a neuro-affirmative approach across social skill discussions.
DYSARTHRIA
A motor speech impairment which can impact one’s respiration, voice, intonation, resonance or articulation.
COGNITIVE LINGUISTIC DIFFICULTIES
Difficulties which may arise secondary to dementia,
primary progressive aphasia or other cognitively based conditions.
AUGMENTATIVE & ALTERNATIVE COMMUNICATION (ACC)
The assessment and recommendations of appropriate light or high-tech communication options which may include, however is certainly not limited to: iPad or device based technologies, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) or other visual scaffolding and prompts.
